Library requests paperback books

Peabody Carnegie Library would like to bring back the sharing of paperback books. Paperbacks could be brought to the library and placed in the old "cloak room" section of the library. Books could be traded with others already in that section, or donated. The books would not be catalogued or checked out — it would be merely a collection and/or trading service. Users would be expected to keep the area neat.

There are some paperbacks in the library collection that would not be available except by the normal check-out procedure.

Readers are invited to make use of the many books in the traveling library collection. They include fiction, non-fiction, large print, and special books. Cookbook readers will find several brand new selections including a Martha Stewart special.

The library offers talking books for the visually impaired and a computer service also is available.
