LETTERS: What happened to Days of Yore?

To the Editor:

Enclosed is my check for another year's subscription to the Peabody Gazette-Bulletin.

I enjoy the paper and it's one way to keep up with the happenings in my hometown. I grew up in Peabody and graduated with the class of 1956.

It will be of interest to see who is selected for the top 100 athletes.

Something I've been missing in the paper is the section on "yesteryears" from the Peabody area. I see the section from Florence is still in the paper.

Is there a reason you stopped printing that section for those of us from Peabody who still enjoy the memories of days gone by?

I'm looking forward to another year of good reading.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The popular "Days of Yore" featuring Peabody news from years ago will return to the pages of the Gazette just as soon as a volunteer steps forward to take over the research and writing.
