LETTERS: Reader likes history

To the Editor:

I am enjoying the historical questions (and answers) that are appearing in the Gazette-Bulletin. Having been raised in Peabody, I am surprised at how much I don't know about the history of the town.

Thanks to your article in which you referenced the Gazette, February 23, 1882, as your source, I learned that my dad's house at 227 N. Walnut was built in 1879 and was called the Lee House. Your answer further explained that the property was renamed the Union House and that there was a sign erected on the property displaying the name of the boarding house. I would like to find out how to get a picture of the house with the sign if there is one in existence.
