Leida Nelson
Leida M. Nelson, 84, died Nov. 12, 2004, at Holiday Resort, Emporia.
Born July 26, 1920, at Mulvane, she was the daughter of Albert and Ila (Webb) Rich.
On Aug. 24, 1950, she married Bill Fisher in Oklahoma. He died in 1965. On July 7, 1973, she married Harvey Nelson at Cottonwood Falls. He died in 2002.
She was a homemaker and CNA, retiring in 1985.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Fisher; and two grandsons, Joshua Fisher and Eddie Hinz.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Fisher of Burns and Bill Fisher of Strong City; a daughter, Idell Hinz of Newton; a sister, Maudene Speake of Arleta, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Whitewater Center Church, rural Burns, with Pastor Charles Fisher officiating.
A memorial fund has been established at Hand in Hand Home Care & Hospice and the Salvation Army.
