Legion auxiliary holds routine meeting

The Elmer S. Madsen American Legion Auxiliary of Post #6229 met Oct. 13 at the Legion hall. Opening ceremonies were held.

A community service and involvement report was given by Joan Palmer, who reported a total of 177 hours donated by auxiliary members.

The auxiliary will be collecting pull-tabs from soda cans and proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House.

Announcements included Make A Difference Day is Saturday and the auxiliary will be donating food for the holidays.

The auxiliary also will be selling poinsettias during the holidays. Orders will be taken until Dec. 15. For more information contact Lila Richter 983-2931, Kathy Lenz 983-2997, or Imogene Rimbey 983-2796. More details will be announced on Channel 7.

It was announced that the meeting time and day will change to 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month.

District officers will make a coffee tour between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Nov. 1. Lunch will be served.
