Legacy Park residents prepare for Christmas
Coffee filters, pressed foam cones, and "Reader's Digests" are everywhere as Legacy Park residents make table decorations and gifts for the Christmas holiday.
Christmas trees have been pulled from storage and are finding their places all over the building
Legacy Park had a float in the Peabody Christmas parade. Staff worked hard on the well-lighted float and residents rode in the facility van that pulled the float.
Residents' Christmas party is Dec. 11. This is a day of celebration with great food and fellowship with families and staff.
The veterans who call Legacy Park home were honored on Veterans Day for their military service. They were served a special meal and swapped stories about their time in the various branches of the military.
Attending the monthly potluck at the Peabody Senior Center was popular in November. Thirteen residents attended and listened to Mary Brown, Peabody High School principal.
Sunshine Preschool children came to visit and shared several songs they learned prior to Thanksgiving. They each had been given an Indian name they shared with us. Groups are encouraged to share their special programs and talents with Legacy Park residents. They always are enjoyed.
