Legacy park is quite a catch

Legacy Park is quite a 'catch'

To the Editor:

There is a rumor going around that there is some fishy business at Legacy Park, Peabody. Well, unlike most rumors, this one is true. The staff has learned about a philosophy for life based on an actual work environment turnaround at the famous Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle, Wash.

The four concepts of the philosophy are choose your attitude, be there, make their day, and play. Some of these come naturally for some folks but most have to work at it. Legacy Park staff is practicing every day. Caregivers have a special task of taking care of others' physical needs but also their emotional and social needs. Creating a light-hearted environment makes the work setting more pleasant for co-workers and those who live at Legacy Park.

Once a month Legacy Park announces a "Catch of the Month." This person has been voted by staff to best exemplify the four FISH philosophy concepts. As you may have noticed the first four all have been Peabody citizens. Be proud of them! Let them know you have noticed they are the "Catch of the Month."

We have about 60 employees at Legacy Park. Thirty-five of those live in Peabody. Five of those are youth in Peabody. The majority of the remaining staff live within 15-20 miles of Peabody. As a major employer in the community of Peabody (more than $1 million payroll annually), Legacy Park strives to support the community and its endeavors.

Legacy Park has several conference/meeting rooms that are available for organizations to use for their meetings. If you are interested call me. If you haven't seen us lately, we invite you to come look at the campus.
