Leadership school, pancake feed keep FFA members busy
Peabody-Burns High School FFA officer team participated in the South Central District Leadership School Thursday at Moundridge High School.
Team members included Leann Spinden, Derek Benson, Andrea Ferren, Jason Unruh, Jessica Slater, and Ben Jantzen.
The team placed fifth in the information test, seventh in parliamentary procedure demonstration and test, and ninth in ritual — presentation of opening and closing ceremonies. The team placed seventh overall.
Jessica Gillet and Ryan Wiebe presented the FFA creed at the district creed speaking competition.
Saturday, the PBHS FFA chapter helped with the Kiwanis pancake feed.
This is a yearly activity for the chapter and is part of its community service project. Members helped serve drinks, clean tables, and helped with cleanup at the end of the day. The students enjoy working with the Kiwanis Club.
