Lawrence Hansen
Lawrence W. Hansen, 81, died Sept. 19, 2004, at Dallas, Texas.
Born June 9, 1923, in Peabody, he was the son of Hans Peter and Alma (Rasmussen) Hansen.
He received a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma A&M and a master's degree from Pittsburg State University.
He retired from Ford Motor Company as an instructor. He also taught at Arkansas City Junior College, Pittsburg State University, and North Eastern A&M.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Richardson, Texas, for 40 years, where he served as a deacon and elder.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Homan Hansen; a daughter, Karen Nelson; a son, Dr. Phillip Hansen; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday) at First Presbyterian Church, Richardson.
