LaVonne went to Newton early Saturday morning to meet Carolyn Holm. They went to Great Bend to visit Rebecca Holm and Amber and Corey Morgan, Alexis and Adria. They were dinner and supper guests of Amber, Corey, and girls. In the afternoon Carolyn and LaVonne and Amber went shopping. After supper Carolyn and LaVonne went to Ellinwood and were overnight guests of Blaine and Carol Ammeter.
Blaine and Carol Ammeter, LaVonne, and Amber Morgan attended church at the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend Sunday morning. The Rev. Gary Brooks is the minister. We really surprised him and Jeannie. Gary started his ministry at our little Summit Church as a student and later he was our first charge after he was ordained. They were married while they were at our church. We did so enjoy being there. He had a wonderful sermon, and we took a short walk down "Memory Lane." Wow! What a wonderful blessing!
Dinner guests of Blaine and Carol were LaVonne, Carolyn Holm, and Amber Morgan and Adria and Alexis. We came back to Newton late afternoon and visited Kathryn and Bob Ireland.
LaVonne was in Marion Tuesday shopping and a dental appointment.
Ladies Aid met at LaVonne's Wednesday afternoon. Those attending were Dorene Kirkpatrick, Leona Widler, and Maude Gaines.
Wednesday evening visitors of LaVonne were Kerrie Wiebe, Natalia, Taryn, Kenton, and Tiana. Delores Bowser visited LaVonne Wednesday and Thursday evening.
Maude Gaines visited Sherry and Marvin Nightengale Thursday afternoon.
McKayla Oursler spent Thursday evening with Grandma LaVonne.
Dorene Kirkpatrick and LaVonne worked Thursday and Friday in Florence.
Stan Ammeter, McKayla Oursler, and Melissa Ramsey visited at the Ammeter farm Friday late afternoon. We fixed asparagus for the freezer and McKayla and Grandma had a tea party.
Pastor Dave Randall was at Summit United Methodist Church Sunday. I had to miss his message, but I'm sure it was great.
