Lakeside Country Club elects new officers

The annual meeting of Peabody Lakeside Country Club was held Feb. 26 at Peabody American Legion. Reports from the secretary and treasurer were given and approved.

Officers for the coming year were elected. Richard Holm will serve as president, Brian McDowell as vice president, and Carolee Foth as secretary-treasurer.

Membership fees, cart rental fees, and Peabody-Burns High School and Peabody-Burns recreation commission fees were set. Non-member green fees will remain the same at $5 per day per person.

Members volunteered or were appointed to the numerous committees that serve Lakeside Country Club during the year.

Special golf nights were selected. Monday nights will be women's night, Wednesday will be men's night, Friday will be reserved for Scotch foursomes, and Monday and Thursdays are open to USD 398 patrons, compliments of Peabody-Burns Recreation Commission (no green fees).

The club set work days for Sunday, March 19, and March 26. All members are urged to attend.

A membership drive will be held this spring. To encourage more participation at the course green fees will be lifted April 29 and 30. Anyone interested in becoming a member is invited to the course on those days to enjoy playing some golf.
