Lady Warriors take second at Olpe
The Lady Warriors traveled to Olpe Saturday for tournament play. The Peabody-Burns team placed second in the four-team rotation.
In pool play the Lady Warriors lost to Marais Des Cygnes Valley in two games, 18-25, 10-25. The Lady Warriors also lost to Olpe in three games, 26-28, 25-21, and 10-15.
The PBHS squad bounced back in the third match defeating Bishop Seabury 25-20 and 25-10.
The Lady Warriors met Olpe again in the semi-finals and came out on top 25-20, 22-25, and 15-12.
But the Peabody-Burns squad was defeated in the finals playing Marais Des Cygnes Valley, 14-25, 12-25.
"It was a great tournament as far as level of competition," said Coach Darren Schroeder. "We struggled with consistency. I believe our best play is yet to come this season."
