Lady Warriors post losses

The final league match-ups for the Peabody-Burns Lady Warriors pitted them against Hutch Trinity and Goessel.
Playing at Goessel Tuesday, the Lady Warriors were defeated in both matches.
They traveled to Goessel Saturday for the league tournament.
In tournament action, the Lady Warriors played Moundridge, Remington, and Hutch Trinity and lost all three matches.
The Lady Warriors now prepare for sub-state play on Saturday.
The Hutch Trinity match started well for the Lady Warriors. The team jumped out to a strong lead and defeated the Lady Celtics 15-8.
The Hutch Trinity team seemed to ignite in the second game and the Lady Warriors went flat, losing 3-15.
The Warriors rebounded in the third game, taking a lead but the Celtics battled back. Gretchen Berns had good net play, but the Lady Warriors came up short, losing the game and the match 15-8, 3-15, 8-15.
After a long break, the Lady Warriors took to the court to play the Goessel Bluebirds.
Game one started great for the PBHS squad. Good teamwork and front row play made for good rallies against a strong Goessel team. But, the Lady Warriors couldn't hang on to their lead and lost the game 10-15.
The second game was a tough one. The PBHS squad couldn't get anything going and lost the game and the match 10-15, 0-15.
"Our team came out in both matches and played very well. We just had a problem sustaining that level of play," stated Coach Darrin Schroeder.
The Lady Warriors were defeated at the league tournament, losing in two games to Moundridge, two games to Remington, and a tough three match battle with Hutch Trinity.
