Lady Warriors lose two matches at home

The Lady Warriors opened the season at home Tuesday with a triangular. The PBHS squad was defeated by Bennington, 19-25, 17-25 and by El-Saline, 16-25, 21-25.
Up next is a trip to Little River.
The Lady Warriors played even with Bennington for the first eight points. Bennington found rhythm and pulled away from the Lady Warriors.
Jessica Gillet served three aces at 13-7 to pull the team within one, 16-17. Bennington answered with two before Becki Morris got a kill and added an ace to make the score 18-19.
The Lady Warrior only got one more before Bennington took the game, 19-25.
In game two, Bennington scored nine unanswered points to put the Lady Warriors down 6-15. PBHS couldn't recover from the deficit and lost the game, 17-25. Jessi Hilliard had six kills and six aces in the match. Morris had two kills and three aces.
Against Ell-Saline, the Lady Warriors jumped out to an 8-4 lead. Ell-Saline came back to tie the game at 8-8. PBHS took the lead at 14, but only scored two more and lost the game, 16-25.
Game two was more competitive with the Warriors attacking the net. All was even at 18, but Bennington pulled away for the game and match victory.
