Lady Warriors lose to Broncos

The Peabody-Burns High School Lady Warriors lost at home Friday to the Remington Lady Broncos, 57-19.

The team is still in search of a victory this season heading into tournament play at Berean Academy this week.

Bayleigh Clark put the Lady Warriors on the board early to tie the game at two. Traylee Woodruff and Jessica Gillet each added a basket, but Remington owned the first quarter offense with 18 points.

Remington added 10 and PBHS put in six in the second.

The gap at the half was 16, 28-12.

Gillet added four in the period and Clark chipped in another two.

PBHS offense continued to struggle with only seven points in the second half.

Danielle Savage led Peabody-Burns with three free throws.

Tabitha O'Neal and Clark each had a basket.

The Remington offense dumped in 29 points in the half and defeated the Lady Warriors en route to the victory.
