Lady Warriors downed by Sedgwick and Little River

The Lady Warriors had a tough week of basketball, losing Tuesday at home to Sedgwick, 54-50. They also were defeated Friday at Little River, 46-20. The team has a week off to prepare for the Berean tournament.
PBHS built a five-point first quarter lead against Sedgwick. The score at the end of the period was 11-6. Elaina Newel had four, Tabitha O'Neal three, and Traci Windsor and Rebecca Morris each added a basket.
Cardinal offense came on strong in the second period adding 13 points. Lady Warrior offense managed only four in the period. PBHS was down 19-15 at the half. Windsor and Morris each had a basket.
PBHS offense came back in the third quarter scoring 19 and once again claiming the lead, 34-29 at the end of the period. Jessi Hilliard put in 12. Newell had five and Windsor added a basket.
Cardinal offense took over the lead with three minutes left in the contest. The Lady Warriors fought back, but could not stop Sedgwick. Newell and Hilliard had five each. Laura Hoffman, Windsor, and Morris each added two. PBHS was defeated by four, 54-50.
During the Little River contest, Lady Warriors were cold from the field. PBHS was down by six points at the end of the first quarter, 12-6. Hilliard had four and Windsor had a basket.
Lady Warrior offense managed only three baskets in the second period. Hilliard had four points and Windsor, two. PBHS was down 23-12 at the half.
Offense slowed even more in the second half. PBHS scored nine points total in the half. Hilliard had five and Jessica Gillet added four. Little River offense put up 23 and defeated PBHS 46-20.
