Lady Warriors defeated by Berean

The PBHS Lady Warriors suffered a loss in the first home game of the season to state-ranked Berean, 70-47. The squad will spend the next week in tournament play.
Berean jumped out to the early lead in the contest, 6-0. Jesse Hilliard scored the first PBHS basket. Tabitha O'Neal added two and Hilliard also put in a free throw. Berean owned the offense in the first, putting up 21. The PBHS squad trailed 21-5 at the end of the first.
Scoring was better in the second for PBHS offense with Elaina Newell and Hilliard both adding three points. Becky Morris and Racquel Castillo got in the game with a basket each. Berean put up 15 and led the PBHS squad 36-15.
Newell had five in the third to lead the Lady Warrior scoring. Bayleigh Clark, O'Neal, and Hilliard added two each. Berean offense continued to roll with a 22-point quarter.
Berean replaced their starters for the fourth period. Hilliard scored 12. Castillo had a trey. O'Neal and Morris added a basket each and Jessica Gillet added one free throw.
