Lady Warriors defeated

The Lady Warriors traveled to Remington Tuesday and were defeated by Hutch Trinity 14-25, 17-25 and also by Remington 17-25, 19-25. The destination Thursday was Wichita Trinity where the PBHS squad lost to Chase County 22-25, 25-28, 18-25 and Wichita Trinity 22-25, 18-25. The Lady Warriors also will be on the road this week with a trip to Sedgwick.
Becky Morris scored with a kill for the first point of the first game with Hutch Trinity. Jessi Hilliard followed with an ace. Hutch Trinity then got on a roll with seven unanswered points. PBHS offense came back to within three but Hutch Trinity pulled away for the game victory, 14-25. Morris led with three kills. Tabitha O'Neal also had a kill. In game two, the PBHS squad played from behind for the entire contest. They pulled to within one at 7-8, but Hutch took over and won the game 17-25 and the match. Morris had six kills and Hilliard and Julie Wedel scored an ace.
Against Remington, the PBHS squad went down 1-12 with many return and service errors. They did play back to within seven points but lost the game, 17-25. Morris had four kills, Hilliard had two kills and O'Neal scored an ace. In game two, the Lady Warriors took a lead at 5-2 with a kill by Danielle Savage, an ace by Bayleigh Clark and a kill by Morris. A series of PBHS errors led to a 10-point run for the Remington squad. Good net play gave the Lady Warriors a lift and a Morris kill took the team to 14-18. They could not overcome the early deficit and lost the game 19-25 and the match. Morris had 10 kills. Hilliard had five kills and two blocks. Savage and Clark also had kills.
In the first game with Chase County, the PBHS squad played back and forth with neither team gaining a clear advantage. Danielle Savage served five straight to give the Lady Warriors the 21-14 edge. Chase County came back to lead the game 23-22. They won the final two points to take the game. Game two had good floor play with Clark keeping the ball up and in play. Hilliard and Morris had key kills in the victory. Game three put the teams all even at 17. With only one PBHS point in the next seven, the Lady Warriors were defeated in the game and the match.
Against Hutch Trinity, the first game was two point contest throughout. Clark had a couple of big assists for Morris kills. The game went to Wichita Trinity.
In the second game, Trinity opened a five point lead that led to a PBHS game and match loss.
