Lady Warriors beat the snow, lose at home to Eagles
To take on Remington Tuesday

The Peabody-Burns High School Lady Warriors were defeated Friday at home by Canton-Galva 32-20. The next scheduled game for the team is Tuesday at Remington.
Several games canceled due to the weather will be rescheduled in the coming weeks.
Both squads started slow on offense in the Canton-Galva/PBHS competition. Danielle Savage put the Lady Warriors on the board from the free-throw line, scoring two. Jessica Gillet also had two free throws. With less than one minute to play, Tabitha O'Neal and Rebecca Morris each added a basket and the Lady Warriors trailed by only one point, 9-8 at the end of the first quarter.
Two free throws in the second by O'Neal was the extent on the Lady Warrior offense before halftime. The Eagles went on a 10-point run and the Lady Warriors were behind 19-10.
Julie Wedel put up a trey and a basket in the third to spark some offense from the PBHS squad. Savage added a basket and Morris a free throw. Canton-Galva put up seven and the deficit narrowed slightly 26-18 at the end of the third quarter.
Good swarming defensive PBHS pressure in the fourth held the Eagle offense to only six points but Lady Warrior offense only added a basket from Morris. PBHS lost 32-20.
