Lady Tomahawks win home opener

The Peabody-Burns Lady Tomahawks opened their basketball season Nov. 18 with a win at home against Canton-Galva. The P-B squad defeated the Eagles in a close one, 15-14.
The Lady Tomahawks came out strong against the Eagles to build a 9-2 lead at the end of the first quarter. The gap tightened throughout the contest, but the team held on for the win.
The junior varsity girls lost by the score of 27-4.
