Lady Tomahawks overpowered

The Peabody-Burns Lady Tomahawks were defeated in two league contests this past week.
On Monday, the squad was beaten at home by the Hutch Trinity Lady Celtics, 34-15. On the road Thursday, the PBJH team was overpowered by the Remington Colts, 45-14. The team has a week off with the next game Jan. 26 at Inman.
Racheal Hamous, Jessica Rosine, and Jessica Gillet combined for the scoring from the field for the Lady Tomahawks. Gillet had four from the free throw line. Tabitha O'Neal also added a free throw. Two steals each were recorded by Stephanie Rempel and Gillet.

Remington
The Lady Tomahawks trailed early to the Remington Colts. Becca Morris put the team on the board with a three-pointer at the three-minute mark. The PBJH squad fell behind at the end of the first quarter, 20-3.
Lady Tomahawk shooting continued to be just off the mark but they did manage to put five on the board in the second quarter. The score at the half was 29-8.
The Colts held the PBJH squad scoreless in the third quarter. The scoring drought was broken with a free-throw by Jessica Gillet in the fourth quarter. The offense bounced back before the end of the contest adding six to the final, 45-14.
B-team action
The Lady Tomahawk B team came up short in their latest contest. The squad was defeated by Hutch Trinity, 33-18.
