Lady Bluejay spikers enjoy perfect week with close victories
The Tabor volleyball team stayed in a tie for the top spot in the KCAC with the Bethel Lady Threshers with another perfect week with one regular season match left on the schedule.
Tabor closed out the week Saturday in Salina at Kansas Wesleyan, vanquishing the Lady Coyotes in three games, 30-25,30-24, and 35-33 scores.
The Bluejays caused the two-way log jam atop the conference two days earlier in Hillsboro in a match against the Threshers.
After taking a 1-0 lead with a 30-24 victory in game one, the Threshers pulled ahead 2-1 with 30-20 and 30-28 victories.
But the Bluejays won the next two, 30-26, and 17-15.
Tabor opened the week Oct. 24 in Winfield, sweeping the hosting Southwestern Lady 'Builders, 30-9, 30-17, and 30-15.
It wraps up the regular season Thursday in Wichita against the Friends Lady Falcons before returning home Saturday to host the first round game of the KCAC Tournament against an opponent yet to be named.
Both Thursday's and Saturday's games start at 7 p.m.
