Ladies Aid has Easter covered dish luncheon

Ladies Aid met Thursday for an all-day meeting. Those present were Denise Lang, Margaret Morgan, Evelyn Sidener, and Bev Morgan.
Ladies Aid held its Easter covered dish luncheon on Tuesday. Members and guests were Lisa, Tayler, and Kourtney Stopple of Ottawa, Helen Wealand, Dolores Mann, Yvonne Allen, Dolly May Soyez, Louise Shumate, Beverly Reynolds, Georgia Lalouette, and Toni Fletcher of Cedar Point. Hazel Clothier, Lenora Graham, Lois Huntley, Dorene Kirkpatrick, and Betty Inlow of Florence, Joyce Hett, Teresa Hill and Cassidy, and Louise Janzen of Marion, Bertha Linnens of Newton, Teresa Goodwin, Fern Goodwin, and Robin Morgan of Burns, Sara Schneider of Wichita, and the hostesses Margaret Morgan and Margie Williams assisted by Denise Lang and Patti Mitchell.
A shower honoring Kendra Stein, bride-elect of Ben Griffin, was hosted by Sharon Griffin and Nancy Griffin. We extend congratulations to Ben and Kendra.
Dinner guests to help Bill Williams celebrate his birthday last Sunday were Gary and Carl Williams, Will and Gayla Soyez, Elliot and Samantha of Florence and Hazel Clothier.
We extend get-well wishes to Reva Goodwin as she will be having surgery Thursday at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. We wish Reva a very speedy recovery.
We are happy to have Carl Williams home from K-State this week for his spring break.
Harold and Bernice Odle returned home Thursday following Harold's surgery at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Their children, Julie Griffin of Smellville, Ga., and Jack Odle of Birmingham, Ala., were home during that time. We wish you a very speedy recovery, Harold.
Roy and Bev Reynolds visited their daughter and husband, Kathy and Floyd Dowell of Leon. Kathy took them to Wichita for dinner at LaMesa to celebrate Floyd's birthday. Later, they returned to the Dowell home for birthday cake and ice cream. We wish Floyd a happy birthday, and many more.
Hazel Clothier and Joyce Hett visited Tuesday afternoon with Lois Huntley in Florence. Hazel's Sunday dinner and supper guests were her daughter and family, Teresa and Kevin Hill, Nellie, Heath, and Cassidy of Marion.
John and Johnny Lang and Justin Smith went to Missouri over the weekend to do some spoonbill fishing. Aubry Watts was Jaimie Lang's Thursday overnight guest. Jaimie was a Sunday overnight guest of Amy Mitchell.
