L. Arlene Moffett
L. Arlene Moffett, 82, died Nov. 26, 2007, at Grace Living Center Nursing Home, Stillwater, Okla. She was born Sept 17, 1925 in Mount Airy, S.C.
After graduation from high school she went to work for the FBI in Washington, D.C., and met Joe Moffett of Peabody who was serving in the U.S. Army. They were married March 13, 1944.
She enjoyed writing poetry. Each week for nine years she wrote a poem for the Riley Methodist Church Bulletin. Sixty of the poems were published in a book, "Sonnets of Praise, Poems of Hope and Inspiration."
Arlene is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe Moffett of Stillwater, four sons, two daughters, nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
