Koehn celebrates 102nd birthday years ago

Moundridge Manor held its monthly birthday party Friday afternoon and Vernon Koehn's mother, Eva Koehn, was an honored guest. She was 102 Jan. 6. Relatives attending were Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn, Wanda Koehn, Lonnie and Carolee, Janarro Jantz, Kaylee and Shawna, Carl and Gloria Koehn of Leland Miss., Barbara Koehn, Martha Koehn, and Meranda Koehn. A big happy birthday!Mary Langenegger, Gene Obee, Kathleen Brenzikofer, and Joyce Kyle attended the First Mennonite Senior Fellowship dinner Tuesday evening at Indian Guide. Others attending were the Rev. Elmer and Tina Reimer of Newton, Dave and Esther Stucky, Howard and Darlene Goering, Wellma Thiessen, Dan and Alice Stucky, and Phyllis Mitchell.

Marvin and Sherol Nightengale attended Laura Nightengale's basketball game in El Dorado Thursday evening. They went to Casey Nightengale's basketball game Saturday afternoon.

Lois Sayers called on Joyce Kyle Wednesday morning. Mack Clark stopped Thursday morning to see if I had any frozen pipes. I appreciated it very much and was happy to enjoy several cups of coffee with him. He stopped late afternoon to tell me that his uncle, Bill Clark, was in a hospital in Wichita and was to have open heart surgery Friday. He is doing well.

I attended a supper Saturday evening celebrating Brody Kyle's ninth birthday, hosted by his parents and brother, Bob and Becky Kyle and Braxton. Others enjoying the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hladik of Wichita, Marion and Carolyn Rowland, Glenn and Betty Kyle, Dan Kyle and Robin, Brad and Sherry Glover, Zack and Kerrie of Whitewater, Scott Rowland and Amber Heiserman of Lawrence, Brian Henry and Katy Kukula of Ness City, and LaVonne Ammeter.
