Kiwanis Pancake Day is Saturday
Peabody Kiwanis Club Pancake Day will be from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Peabody Senior Center.
The $3 charge includes all the pancakes you can eat, sausage, and choice of coffee, milk, or orange drink.
The annual pancake day supports the Kiwanis Service Fund.
The Peabody Kiwanis Club's primary focus is on service to children and the elderly. This past year, members spent many hours repairing and repainting playground equipment in the city park. Kiwanis pays for vision screening and glasses for children whose families are unable to afford this on their own.
The club also supports the annual Easter Egg Hunt for Peabody children and the Peabody Library Summer Reading program, provides a scholarship for an outstanding high school senior, scholarships for preschool children, and helps with other needs as requested.
Club members play Bingo with Legacy Park and Westview Nursing Home residents on a regular basis. The club gives to the annual Christmas fund and provides the display of American flags on Main Street on holidays.
Peabody residents are encouraged to make community needs known to the club. New members always are welcome.
