Kiwanis club offers scholarship
Peabody Kiwanis Club will present a $1,000 scholarship this year to a Peabody-Burns High School senior.
Any senior who has completed 100 hours of community service in the past 12 months is eligible to apply.
Seniors who have participated in Big Brothers/Big Sisters may count the time they spent working with their "littles." National Honor Society members and FFA members may include community service projects they helped those organizations accomplish.
Other community activities may qualify.
Seniors need to contact Mrs. Rucker or Mrs. Brown for an application and information on the May 16 deadline.
