Kip Hawkins
Kirk "Kip" Hawkins, 45, of Peabody, died May 13, 2006, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
Born Oct. 14, 1960, at Ness City, he was the son of Jerold and Glenita (Long) Hawkins.
He worked as a plumber in his family's business for many years. In 1991, he moved to Newton where he worked for Future Foam Inc., as the branch manager.
On July 20, 1996, he married Deborah Reed at their home in rural Butler County.
He was preceded in death by his father, who died in 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah of Peabody; two sons, Keith Lane Hawkins of Peabody and Jacob Marley of Towanda; three daughters, Danielle Marley of Towanda, Alaina Marley and Mary-Elizabeth Marley, both of Port Arthur, Texas; mother, Glenita Hawkins of St. George; brother, Kirby Hawkins of St. George; three sisters, Kami Garner and Kendra Reid Etienne, both of Wamego and Keena Yambo of St. Mary's; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (today) at St. George Cemetery.
