KDOT to install four-way stop
Kansas Department of Transportation announced Tuesday plans to change the U.S.-50/77 intersection at Florence from a two-way to a four-way stop. The intersection currently requires traffic on U.S.-77 to stop.
Plans call for beacons, rumble strips, and over-sized stop signs to be added on U.S.-50 creating a four-way stop.
Work is scheduled to begin this week and should be completed by the end of August, weather permitting.
Two teen-agers were the latest fatalities in an accident that occurred Thursday afternoon at the intersection.
