Kali Alstrom named to KMEA Honor Band
Music students from Peabody-Burns High School auditioned Nov. 2 for the Kansas Music Educators Association High School honor band and choir.
Kali Alstrom, a freshman clarinet player, was selected to participate in the honor band. Junior Lydia Wolf, who also plays clarinet, was chosen to serve as an alternate.
KMEA honor groups will present a concert Dec. 7 at Wichita State University.
Students from many schools in south central Kansas auditioned.
Others competing from PBHS included Charity Gwinup, voice; Sara Hoffmann, trumpet; and Jesse Riggs, alto saxophone.
The music programs are under the direction of Steven Glover.
