Kalena Myers selected as an outstanding K-State senior
Kalena Myers of Goessel was among nine students selected by the faculty of Kansas State University's College of Human Ecology to receive the college's outstanding senior award.
A December graduate of K-State, Myers received a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders.
She is a K-State honors list student, and a resident of the Smurthwaite Scholarship-Leadership House, where she maintained a high academic level, participated in various community service projects, and served as vice president.
She has been active with the K-State Marching Band, served as head section leader of the color guard, and volunteered for numerous local entities and causes.
Myers is a 2001 graduate of Newton High School, and is the daughter of Ron and Michelle Schroeder, Goessel.
