JV takes third at Olpe tournament

Peabody-Burns High School junior varsity volleyball team competed Saturday in the five-team round robin Olpe tournament.

The Tomahawks finished with a 2-2 record and third-place finish.

They won the first match 25-12, 25-18.

In match two, the PBHS squad lost to the Emporia freshmen, 25-11, 25-22.

They fell in the third match to the Olpe freshmen 25-13, 25-15, but came back to defeat Northern Heights in match four, 25-22, 25-14.

Clarissa Terronez led the team in service points with 22. Shelby Wilson had 20, and Bayleigh Clark and Ruth McLeod had 13 each.

Tarina McGee served for nine and Tawny Wynn had four.
