June Waggy

Born June 27, 1926, in Peabody, June Waggy was the daughter of Harold "Scott" and Frances (Winthrop) Carothers. She grew up in Leoti and Peabody.

June received her associate degree from Colorado Woman's College and her bachelor's and master's degrees and a Phi Beta Kappa award from Denver University.

She served on the board of directors of the Denver History Museum and was a teacher and volunteer at San Mateo-Foster City School District.

June was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and her family.

Survivors include her husband, John; two daughters, Joan Rosas and Anne Dyvig; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Thursday in San Mateo, Calif.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. July 17 St. Luke Episcopal Church, Denver, Colo.

A memorial fund has been established at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 1270 Poplar St., Denver CO 80220.
