Jones visits Shriners hospital
Peabody athlete prepares to compete in Shrine Bowl
Athletes and coaches participating in the 31st annual Kansas East-West Shrine All-Star Football game took a break from their nine days of intensive training to visit kids in the St. Louis unit of Shriners Hospital for Children.
Adam Jones, Peabody-Burns High School football all star, is one of the athletes participating in this year's Shrine Bowl and visited with the children.
The trip to St. Louis served to bring participants an opportunity to meet first-hand with the beneficiaries of the all-star game. The game is played annually for the benefit of Shriners Hospitals for Children.
This year's game will be played Saturday. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. in Welch Stadium at Emporia State University in Emporia.
