Jonathan Busenitz
Jonathan J. Busenitz, 38, died at his home near Whitewater Jan. 26, 2002.
He was a farmer and stockman.
Born Nov. 9, 1963, at Newton, he was the son of Walter Busenitz and the late Suzie (Ortman) Busenitz.
He was married to Rachel Horner on Aug. 18 1985. She survives.
He was a member of Grace Bible Church, Whitewater; attended Whitewater Grade School, graduated from Berean Academy at Elbing; and attended two years at Grace University, Omaha, Neb.
Other survivors include his father, Walter Busenitz, Whitewater; sons, Michael, Phillip, Brandon, Lyndon, and Joseph, all of the home: daughters, Bethany and Jessica, also of the home; brothers, Robert of the Phillipines, Stephen of Whitewater, Mark of Hulett, Wyo., Rueben of Busby, Mont., Ethan of Whitewater, and Earl of Hulett, Wyo; sisters, Fern Rudolph of Chicago, Ill., Elizabeth Pierce of Whitewater, Waunita Funk of Newton, Lillian Jerred of Lincoln, Neb., and Pearl Nanninga Lima, Ohio.
Services were held today, Wednesday, morning at Emmaus Mennonite Church, rural Whitewater, with pastors Jon Prigge and Rodney Crowell officiating.
Memorials have been established with Wycliff Bible Translaters and Life Line Orphanage in Haiti.
