Jessica and Benjamin Stucky wedding
Calvary Church in Moundridge was the setting at 5 p.m. Feb. 16, 2002, for the wedding of Jessica Dawn Schmidt and Benjamin Todd Schmidt. Pastor Joe Swigart officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Calvin and Dawna Schmidt of Moundridge, Larry and Cindy Stucky of McPherson, and Terry and Debbie Schmidt of Overbrook.
Special guests at the ceremony were the couple's grandparents, Harold and Reva Goodwin of Burns, H.R. and Geneva Siefker and Harvey and Mary Lou Schmidt of McPherson, Freeman and Evelyn Miller of Hesston, and Stella Unruh of Moundridge.
The candles were lighted before the ceremony by Tammy Zerger of Overbrook and the bride's brother, Randall Schmidt of Moundridge.
Musical selections were provided by DeLonna Barnett of Moundridge and Natalie Ralston of Lawrence.
Guests were seated by Stuart Girk of Lawrence, Jeff Wedel of Moundridge, and Dustin Stucky of Hutchinson.
Attending her sister as matron of honor was Becky Keating of Halstead. Bridesmaids were Jennie Doran of Blue Springs, Mo., and the bride's cousin Meghann Green of Topeka.
Natalie and Kassidy Kauman of Moundridge, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. The bride's cousin Joel Green of Topeka was ring bearer.
Nick Schmidt of Lawrence served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Mark Boknecht of Lawrence and the groom's brother, Sam Stucky of McPherson.
Hosts at the reception, dinner, and dance at the Red Coach Inn in McPherson were the groom's sister and brother-in-law Steve and Steph Kaufman of Moundridge, the groom's uncle Tim Schmidt of McPherson, and Roxanne Tomlin of McPherson.
The bride is a graduate of Moundridge High School and Lawrence Beauty Academy, Lawrence. The groom is a graduate of Moundridge High School and the University of Kansas. He is employed by KONE, Inc., Knoxville, Tenn.
Following a Caribbean cruise, the couple is at home in Knoxville.
The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Feb. 15 at Crosswind Conference Maybee Center in Hesston.
