Jay McClure Jr.
Jay M. McClure Jr., 81, died March 9, 2005, at Hillsboro.
Born Dec. 18, 1923, near Peabody, he was the son of Jay M. and Albertina (Goertz) McClure Sr.
On Dec. 23, 1943, he married Thelma Hankey at Argonia.
He was an Amoco bulk agent.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma of Hillsboro; two daughters, Christa Lalouette of Marion and Jaylene Ashton of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Neva Covey of Pratt; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody, with the Rev. Marilyn Cox officiating.
Burial was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association of South Central Kansas.
