Jackie Rice is director of Marion County BBBS
Jackie Rice is the new executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Marion County.
She is filling the position previously held by Sherry Soyez.
A native Kansan, Rice was born in Abilene and grew up in Newton where she graduated from high school. She attended Hutchinson Community College and later received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California focusing on anthropology.
She is the former administrative director of the archaeology department and assistant tribal historic preservation officer for the Catawba Cultural Preservation Project, a non-profit organization sanctioned by the Catawba Indian Nation.
