Irene Bailey
Irene Bailey, 91, died Sept. 26, 2004, at Presbyterian Manor, Newton.
The daughter of Thomas and Susie (Hoffpauir) Green, she was born Nov. 9, 1912, at Choudrant, La.
She was a former teacher and librarian in Whitewater schools and a homemaker, having lived in Whitewater for 48 years.
She was a member of Federated Church, Whitewater.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.Pat Bailey.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Warwick of Portland, Ore., and Patricia King of Carmel, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Federated Church, Whitewater, with the Rev. Scott Martin officiating.
Burial was in Whitewater Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Whitewater Library or hospice.
