Investigation into drug store break-in complete
Peabody Police Sergeant Bruce Burke reports this week that the investigation into the break-in at Don's Drug, discovered Dec. 4, has been completed. According to the owners nothing was taken in the break-in. No merchandise or money were taken and nothing was missing from the pharmacy.
"We don't know what they were after," said Burke. "It may have just been vandalism."
Burke also reported that officers took a report in the afternoon Dec. 4 of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was later found and voluntarily returned home.
On the night of Dec. 4 a complaint was received of some items missing from a residence at 808 N. Olive. After an investigation, a search warrant was executed Dec. 7 in Newton for the recovery of the items. They were found and returned to the owner. According to Burke an arrest is pending.
