Inman defeats Tomahaws

Peabody-Burns Junior High boys' basketball team was defeated, 60-31, Thursday by Inman.
The team is now 2-2 for the season and preparing for a Thursday league contest at home with Goessel.
The first period of play was dominated by the taller Inman squad. The Peabody-Burns Tomahawks put up eight, but the gap was 18-8 at the end of the first quarter. Brian Wingert paced the squad with three. Seth Alstrom and Aaron Topham added two each. Jacob Simmonds scored a free throw.
The second quarter was all even in offense with both squads adding 13. Nick Hintz led the quarter with eight. Simmonds put in three and Kendall Wiebe added two. The score at the half was 31-21.
The third quarter was lopsided with the Tomahawks managing only two baskets. Jake Middleton and Wingert each were credited with two. The Inman squad put up 19 to make the gap, 50-25.
Wiebe added four in the fourth and Elliott Spechtenhauser got on the scoreboard with two.

B-team
Peabody-Burns Junior High reserves lost a home contest to Inman, 25-17, putting them 2-2 for the season.
Scoring for led by Chris Dunfield with 11. Seth Methvin put in four and Christopher Brooks added two.
