Individuals leave scene of injury accident

Individuals were involved in a one-injury accident at 7:30 p.m. April 22 at Quail Creek and 50th. The suspects left the scene of the accident. They did not tell Undersheriff Randal Brazil the truth about how the accident happened or who was driving. Both suspects were arrested for leaving the scene of an injury accident, obstruction of duty, and giving false information regarding an accident.

Sometime between 3 and 5:25 p.m. April 20, an unknown individual entered the residence of Donita K. Shaw, 131 South Washington, Burns. They began to argue about cigarettes. The individual broke items in the home and hit the victim twice in the face with a closed fist. The individual left a suicide note and vacated the home. Deputy Josh Whitwell reports two Indian statues, valued at $50 and one fire safe lock box, valued at $150 were damaged.

At 10:10 p.m. March 25, an accident occurred at Goessel. The driver had a 14-year-old tell the officer she was driving the car that was involved in the accident. The individual was driving with a suspended license, reports Deputy Larry Starkey.

Sergeant Jeff Soyez witnessed an individual driving at 5 p.m. April 24 and Main and Coble streets, Marion. The driver had a suspended driver's license.

A driver contacted Marion County communications at 9 p.m. April 24, admitting to being under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license. The driver agreed to stop at Indigo and 150th to wait for an officer. Deputy Whitwell pulled behind the vehicle, then the drive took off. The vehicle eventually stopped at Falcon and 160th. An open bottle of alcohol was inside the vehicle. Driver failed breath test.
