Ida Smith
Ida (Eilerts) Smith, 95, of Wichita, died June 18, 2005, at Legacy Park, Peabody.
Born Nov. 9, 1909, at Monett, Mo., she was the daughter of David and Ida May (Larkin) Brown.
On Aug. 21, 1926, she married Earl C. Eilerts at Amarillo, Texas. The couple lived in Amarillo, Monett, and Marion before settling in Wichita in 1929.
Her husband died in November 1956.
On Oct. 8, 1962, she married N.B. "Smitty" Smith at Wichita. He died in April 2000.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Marquetta Eilerts of Peabody, and daughter, Karen Sue (Marshall) Baker of El Reno, Okla., and a host of grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services were held June 22 at Hillside Funeral Home East, Wichita.
A memorial fund was established with Alzheimer's Association, Sunflower Chapter, 347 Laura, Wichita KS 67211.
