Hunters arrive in Summit for opening of season

Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived at the Ammeter farm late Friday afternoon to spend the weekend. He was joined by Todd Ammeter and B.J. Ammeter of Manhattan who came to hunt with their dad and Uncle Stan. Sure did enjoy them and they had a great weekend hunting.

Saturday dinner guests of LaVonne were Blaine, B.J., and Todd Ammeter, Stan Ammeter, John Boise, and Darrell Johnson.

Josh Clark called in the evening and Bob Hartnagel and Bob Walsh of Florence were visitors. Marnita Robinson and Stan Ammeter were visitors late Sunday evening.

The hunters arrived Saturday at Maude Gaines' for the opening of hunting season. Dinner guests were Shelly and Ben Harper of Inman, Sally and Jim Abel, Vicki and Dick Gantz, Cory, William, and Allison, all of Perry, Dusty Gaines of Newton, and Ronnie Gaines.

Maude Gaines visited LaVonne Monday afternoon.

Steve Bishop and Stan Ammeter were Monday and Tuesday dinner guests of LaVonne.

Kerrie Wiebe, Natalia and Taryn visited LaVonne Wednesday morning.

Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Attending were Dorene Kirkpatrick, Leona Widler, Sherry Nightengale, and Maude Gaines.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne were in Hillsboro and Marion Thursday for shopping and lunch.

We had church at Summit Sunday and Pastor Linda had her usual good message.

Maude Gaines fell coming out of church Sunday morning and broke her hip. Please remember her in your prayers!
