Hugh Baker
Funeral services for Hugh C. Baker, 82, were held Friday at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody.
Born March 25, 1921, near Peabody, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mel (Cooper) Baker.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a farmer.
He married his first wife, Grace E. (Smith) Baker, Nov. 18, 1944. She died Aug. 21, 1989.
On June 30, 1990, he married Carolyn A. (Bradley) at Las Vegas, Nev.
Survivors include his spouse, of Newton; son, John Baker of Wichita; brother, Robert Baker of Newton; sisters, Louise Jackson of Eugene, Ore., and Natalie Neal of Ojai, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Burial was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
A memorial has been established at Eden Mennonite Church, Burns.
