HMS Trojans continue hot play on court
Hillsboro Middle School Trojans volleyball teams took three of four matches Thursday at Hesston.
The seventh grade varsity team (1-2) went three games with the Swathers, 25-21, 14-25, 21-25, before dropping the match.
Head coach Stephanie Sinclair thought the team was a little flat, but also was battling some injuries.
Aubrey Meier led the team with 13 points.
The eighth grade varsity team improved its record to 3-0 with a 25-9, 25-17 romp of Hesston.
Candace Weinbrenner recorded 19 points.
Both junior varsity squads notched victories.
The seventh graders won 15-10, 15-13, and served better than 90 percent.
The eighth graders won large, 26-24, 25-9.
Jandee Miles led the team with nine points.
