HMS sweeps Halstead off the court
All four Hillsboro Middle School volleyball teams collected victories Thursday against Halstead.
The seventh grade varsity team won easily in two games, 25-7, 25-12.
Hayley Jirak recorded a team-high 14 points to help the Trojans improve to 6-3.
"They had a very good passing night," head coach Stephanie Sinclair said.
The eighth grade varsity team, now 6-0, was led by Candace Weinbrenner who scored 22 points, en route to a 25-10, 25-9 sweep.
"They had a fun night," Sinclair said. "Everything seemed to go our way."
It wasn't as easy for the seventh grade junior varsity team, but it came away with a victory, 25-17, 20-25, 25-21.
Hayley Pankratz was the leading scorer with 18 points.
The eighth grade junior varsity won in two games, 25-15, 25-7.
Amanda Roble had a team-high 17 points.
