HMS band does well at league contest
Hillsboro Middle School band participated April 25 in the league band contest at Marion and received a II+ rating.
Soloists receiving I ratings were Matthew Wiebe and Sarah Unruh.
The percussion ensemble also received a I.
Evan Just and Justin Houser received II+.
The flute ensemble, clarinet ensemble, and brass ensemble all received II+ ratings.
"I was proud of them," said director Gregg Walker.
