Hillsboro Rec to sponsor fun run

New Year's Day will not only mark the beginning of 2006, but also is the day of Hillsboro Recreation Commision's Frostbite 4-mile Fun Run.

The run will begin at 2 p.m. from the Hillsboro Scout House at Memorial Park. The entry fee is $10 and runners must sign up by Dec. 23.

The run, or walk, will wind through the city, meaning icy streets will cancel the event.

All participants will receive a commemorative stocking cap. Call (620) 947-3690 days, or (620) 947-2409 evenings for answers to any questions.
