Don Gillet and LaVonne Ammeter visited Brenda Riggs and family Friday evening. They attended the musical at the high school, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." It was great. They all did their parts so well. Jesse Riggs was Linus in the musical.
Lisa Clark visited LaVonne Monday evening.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne Ammeter attended the Burns senior dinner and meeting Tuesday noon at the Burns community building. Good food and a good program. Later in the afternoon they visited Ike and Marie Clark.
Sherry and Marvin Nightengale picked up LaVonne, Maude Gaines, and Patti Gaines Tuesday evening and they all attended the annual church charge conference at the Aulne United Methodist Church. Three churches, Aulne, Summit, and Peabody, met with Max Clayton, the district superintendent. The Aulne ladies served soup, sandwiches, and dessert. It was a good evening of music, business, and fellowship.
Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Quilters besides LaVonne were Leona Widler, Dorene Kirkpatrick, Sherry Nightengale, and Maude Gaines.
LaVonne was in Peabody Wednesday morning and was stopped for making an illegal U-turn at the city building corner. I sure did not know there was a "No U-turn" sign there. So drivers beware. There also is one up by the warehouse that I didn't know was there.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne were shopping Friday in Marion. They came back to Peabody and quilted at the senior center and visited at Legacy Park.
LaVonne and Maude ate lunch Friday with Carol and Helen Logan at The Big Scoop in Marion.
George and Rose Watts of Agency, Mo., were Saturday luncheon guests. Stan Ammeter also was a guest for lunch. The Watts were on their way home from visiting Jack and Carolyn Metz in Wichita, Bobby and Mary Watts in Newton, and Laura Branham in Peabody.
We had church Sunday at Summit. Pastor Dave had a wonderful sermon. He gets better every Sunday.
Maude and LaVonne ate lunch Sunday at the Chuck Wagon in Florence. Later they visited Elsie Tittle and then later in the afternoon Ike and Marie Clark. Other visitors at the Clarks were Bruce and Ruth Emke of Ohio and Sherry and Marvin Nightengale.
Joyce Hein spent Friday night and Saturday with her son Brad and his family in Newton. Eric Hein of Illinois called his mother Joyce on Saturday to wish her Happy Birthday and sent her flowers.
Isn't this autumn weather gorgeous? Hope you all have a good week!
